GuidEd Insight Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us and we are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect information at GuidEd Insight. This Privacy Policy must be read together with the Terms of Service found on the guidedinsight.org website.

This tool is currently meant for use only in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please refrain from use.

GuidEd Insight is available in both a Trial version and a Paid version.

Both the Trial and Paid versions contain similar data. The Paid version is available by paying for subscription once an organizations trial period has expired (a set number of days from initial set-up of the tool). The data provided allows visualization of students, the ability to supplement basic NSC-reported data with your own student attribute information, and the ability incorporate local program data to analyze locally specific programs. Data sets are saved as a convenience for future analysis.

When you save student data in GuidEd Insight, we will never use or share personally identifiable information related to your students in any way without your written permission, unless we are compelled to provide that information as part of a legal proceeding of which you will be notified, to the extent permissible. We will ensure that our employees and contractors protect your information with the same care that they protect our confidential information.

We may use anonymous information aggregated from GuidEd Insight database for our own research and development purposes. We may publish aggregate information that includes the information you provide us, but it will not include data that could identify your students, your organization, or any relationship between your organization and either students or other organizations.

Whether you’re using the Trial or the Paid version of GuidEd Insight, we will save the information that you give us to create your account (your name and email address and any additional information you provide on the user set-up pages), and we’ll use it to contact you with important information about your account. If you select to receive product updates at account creation, we will send you those as well. You will always have the option to unsubscribe from email updates in the future.

However, at any time upon termination of an agreement or otherwise at their discretion, Clients may submit a written request to have their personal information provided to GuidEd Insight deleted. We will comply with such written requests within (30) days.

Note that in the event that a user chooses to submit data to a postsecondary institution, we are unable to delete or otherwise retract that information from the receiving institution.

Notwithstanding the above, we do retain aggregated and/or de-identified data for the purposes described previously in the privacy policy.

Other Potential Uses of Client data:

We may share personal information for legal, protection, and safety purposes. Specifically, we may share information: (1) to comply with laws, (2) to respond to lawful requests and legal processes, (3) to protect the rights and property of Degrees of Change, our agents, customers, and others (including to enforce our agreements, policies, and terms of use), (4) in an emergency, which includes protecting the safety of our employees and agents, our customers, or any person, and (5) with those who need it to do work for us, provided that they agree to adhere to the restrictions and limitations set forth herein.

We Don’t Sell Your Personal Information.
